How to get to Manarola
The best way to get to Manarola is by train. Manarola is 15 Minutes from La spezia, where you can change for trains through Italy.
You can buy a train ticket for the whole day. the train starts at La Spezial and stops at Levanto. you can use the train the whole day. price: 15€
What to do there
First off, explore the old town of Manarola. There are many lovely old buildings, and cute restaurants. If you walk up the hill you can enjoy a wonderful sunset.
Also you should explore the other villages of “Cinque Terre”. There is a hiking way on the coast line from riomaggiore to Monterosso. When you buy the train ticket, the ticket for the hiking trails is included.
Where to stay
There are a few Apartments and rental rooms with coastal views starting at 85€. It’s better to book a room outside the city because of the price.
How much time will you need there
2 Days are enough because the city is very small. But you should explore the other small villages in Cinque Terre.
Best time to visit
Try to go there in April, June or September to avoid the crowds.
Why should it be on my bucket list ?
Because it’s a lovely small city with the typical Italian flair. Perfect for relaxing and enjoying wonderful sunsets.
