Bang Pae Waterfall – Phuket, Thailand

Bang Pae Waterfall is the biggest waterfall in Phuket with a hight of 10-metre. Bang Pae Waterfall is located in Khao Phra Thaeo National Park, north of Phuket Town.

How to get to Bang Pae Waterfall 

Bang Pae Waterfall is located 25 km north of Phuket Town. It takes about 1 hour to drive from Phuket Town to Bang Pae. Rent a car / scooter or use a driver. Follow the signs to Khao Phra Thaeo National Park and drive to the Gibbon Rescue Center. (See on google maps)

There is a 10-15 minutes hike from the entrance/parking area. The hike is quite easy, but look out for slippery rocks. Bring good shoes for the hike and swimwear to go swimming in the pool underneath the waterfall.

Bang Pae Waterfall Price

200 baht entrance fee to the national park. The parking fee for motorbikes is 20 baht/bike and 30 baht for cars.

You can buy food and drinks at the entrance. At the entrance you will see a sign with ‘No Food and Drink allowed around the Waterfall Please’.

When to visit

Get there early in the morning to beat the crowds. Try to get there before 11 am.

The best time to visit Bang Pae Waterfall is during the rainy season (May to October). This is when the waterfall got the most water.

During the high season (November to April) the waterfall slows down a little, but it’s still well worth a visit.

How much time do you need there

Spend 30 minutes to 1 hour at the waterfall. Go for a swim and enjoy the spectacular nature. Add 10 minutes for the hike each way.
