Bali got a lot of amazing waterfalls. You could easily explore waterfalls there for weeks. In this article we will go trough the best waterfalls in Bali. But first…
- Don´t leave any trash !
- Get there early. The earlier you get there, the less tourists Read: (“less random people on your Instagram picture”..)
- Entrance fee: Around Rp 10-15.000 most places.
- Parking: Around Rp 2.000
- Shoes – there will be stairs/ hike
- Don´t bring too much stuff. Same as above.
- For most places – you don´t need to use a guide. But you can use one if you´d like to support.
- You will find most waterfalls in North Bali (see map)

Tegenungan Waterfall
Where: Tegenungan Village. (16 km or 30m from Denpasar)
Entrance fee: Rp 15.000
Hike: 500 steps. Walking down, and up – stairs.
- Get there early. The waterfall starts filling up (with tourists) around 10.
- There is a Cafè at the roof with the best view to the waterfall.
- There you can enjoy a coconut, but fix the price first
- Water shoes are very useful since there are many sharp stones
- The most popular of the waterfalls in Bali
Waterfalls in Bali: Nungnung Waterfall
Where: Nungnung Village (45 km or 1,5 Hours from Denpasar)
Entreance fee: Rp 10.000
Hike: Stairs
- Bring sneakers. About 20 min to walk up again
- Don´t bring a heavy bag
- Bring a waterproof camera
- Hike down by yourself. You don´t need a guide
- Get there in the morning to avoid tourist
Munduk Waterfall
Where: North Bali. Gobleg (2 hours from dempasar)
Entrance fee: Rp 15.000
Hike: About 800 meters walking down the mountain.
- The entrance isn´t special from the street, just a sign “Munduk Waterfall”. Then you have walk down direct through the jungle.
- The way goes next to some local houses
- No shops there
- Be aware on the walk down. Slippery road.
- Among the most scenic of the waterfalls in bali
Waterfalls in Bali: Lemukih Waterfall
Where: Sekumpul Village – North Bali. 1 km away from Sekumpul Waterfall (2 hours from Dempasar)
Entrance fee: Rp 15.000
Parking: Rp 2.000
Hike: Easy walk
- Visit at the same time as Sekumpul Waterfall. >1km apart
- Can also visit a race terrace there
- Use shoes, not flip-flops
Aling Aling Waterfall
Where: North Bali. About 2 hours drive from denpasar)
Enterance fee: You will need a guide. From Rp 100.000. Depends on transport and group.
- There is three different waterfalls
- One of them (the first picture) are sacred, so it´s not allowed to swim in it.
- In the other two you can swim, jump and use a natural waterside.(second picture)
- Fewer tourist, but depends on season.
- Bring good shoes
- One of the waterfalls in Bali close to Ubud

Waterfalls in Bali: Dusun Kuning Waterfall
Where: Bangli (45 min from Denpasar)
Entrance fee: Free
Hike: 3 km from parking area
- It is free because it has not become a tourist spot
- Access to the waterfall is quite difficult. There is only a footpath which is muddy and slippery
- The waterfall is still quiet and natural.
- Best chance to get a waterfall for yourself.
- Forest hike. Bring good shoes.

Blemantung Waterfall
Where: Pujungan Village (75km or around 2 hours from Denpasar)
Entrance fee: Free
Hike: Short. 200m from the parking area.
- It is free because it has not become a tourist spot
- There is a lot coffee plantations near by
- Good chance to get a waterfall for yourself
- With a hight of 50 meters, is it one of the highest waterfalls in Bali
Waterfalls in Bali: Sekumpul Waterfall
Where: North Bali. 2-3 Hours from Denpasar
Entrance fee: Rp 15.000
Hike: 20-30 minutes.
- You don´t need a guide
- Not an easy hike. Bring good shoes
- Parking Rp 2.000
