How to get to Maya Bay:

First you need to get to Koh Phi Phi:
Take a ferry from Phuket or Krabi. The ferry takes about 1 hour 30 minutes.

From Koh Phi Phi to Maya Bay:
There are big tourist boats you can take to get there. You will find them down at the port. There are a lot of people on these boats, but it it the cheapest option.
Or
Take a taxi boat that are more expensive, but will give you a better experience. We took one boat just for 2 persons and you can stop everywhere you want for snorkeling for example, amazing!

Price:

Hotel is cheap : 30€
Taxi boat : 1500 bath for 3 hours for 2 person
Boat from Phuket to Koh Phi Phi price: 1h30 and 900 bath per person

Where to stay in Maya Bay

We stayed in a hotel named Maney Resort in Koh Phi Phi. You will not find any accommodation  in Maya Bay, since nobody can stay there. The Hotel Maney resort is close to the viewpoint on Koh Phi Phi. This was a great place to stay since there was quiet. There is a lot of noise during the night on Koh Phi Phi but we did not hear the music, so this hotel was perfect for us.

 

How much time do you need there:

Koh phi phi is perfect for 2 days since this is a really small island.

Maya Bay Tip:

The taxi boat opens at 6:30 am. This is the best time to do the boat trip to Maya Bay. This way you will beat most of the tourist, and you will also see the wonderful dusk.

Bring mosquito repellent (they attack at 5pm to 7pm)
