Currency:
The kip is the official currency of Laos, but most of the population prefer U.S. dollars and Thai baht.

Kuang Si Waterfall Price
Entrance fee to Kuang Si Waterfall
20,000 kip about $2.50 USD per person to get in to the waterfall area

Tuk Tuk from Luang Prabang:
Negotiable price. For the tuk tuk to take us there and to take us home again, we paid around 25 US dollars. We were around eight people, which made it a lot cheaper per person.

How much time do you need there?
3-4 hours is enough. Then you have time to see everything, and also relax and swim in the waterfall.

When is the best time to go:
We were there in the end of February, and the temperature was great! But I think the best time to be there in general is around the end of March / April. When it comes to arriving to the waterfall, come early in the morning, before all of the tourist has arrived.

What should I do there:
You should definitely to go up the trail towards the top of the final waterfall to get a great view. Also relax and swim in the different pools of the lower part of the waterfall, and enjoy the (extremely) turquoise water. And take pictures!! It`s not every day you’re in such a beautiful place.

What should you not do:
Well, there is a «no sleeping in this area» sign, so I guess you should not do that.Kuang Si Waterfall

Why should Kuang Si Waterfall be on my bucket list:
This is a place really worth visiting before you die, and it`s even more beautiful in real life. It`s one of those places you see on Tumblr and Instagram and you dont really believe it exists before you`re actually there.
