How to get to Kawasan Falls

To get to Kawasan Falls, coming from Manila, Philippines, you can book from any major airlines to Mactan International Airport in Cebu. From the airport, you may book a taxi to South Bus Terminal (Cebu City). From the terminal ride a bus bound to Bato via Barili, and get off at Badian.

There is actually an option to do a downstream canyoneering activity which starts at Kanlaob River (Alegria) down to Kawasan Falls, this is what we did. This will involve a lengthy river trekking, swimming, climbing and waterfall jumping, which will pass through scenic forest trails, marvelous boulders, turquoise rivers, waterfalls and slides. The activity usually takes up to 3 to 5 hours depending on the speed of the group.

There are accommodations in Badian, hostels/hotel.

Philippine Peso, there are foreign exchange center in the airport.

The whole downstream canyoneering activity cost PhP 1500, this includes rental of life vest, helmet, bottled water, trained guides, entrance fees, habal-habal ride to the starting point of the canyoneering and lunch at the end of the activity.

How much time do you need there

The whole activity usually takes up to 3 to 5 hours depending on the speed of the participants.

When is the best time to go

Usually the whole activity starts at the morning around 10 am up to 2 or 3 pm.

What to do there

From Badian you can go to other attractions in Cebu: like Whale Watching in Oslob, Osmena Peak in Dalaguete, other falls like Aguinid/Tumalog Falls, or diving/beach bumming in nearby town Moalboal.

Why should Kawasan Falls be on my bucket list?

There is an option to do a 50-ft jump from the falls. The whole downstream canyoneering activity is definitely fun activity to do, which makes it more fun in the Philippines.
