Jatiluwih Rice Terrace is located in middle/west of Bali at the foot of Mount Batukaru. The distance from Denpasar to Jatiluwih is about 48 km and it is situated in upstate of Tabanan town (28 Km). Grab a bike and cycle through this area for the full experience.
How to get to Jatiluwih Rice Terrace
You can get to the rice terraces by car, motorbike, or you can take a Taxi. From Ubud to Jatiluwih you have to drive about 1.5 Hours with the motorbike.
Jatiluwih Rice Terrace Price
The entrance is very cheap. You have to pay for parking and a small fee of 20000 Rupiah for walking through the terraces. We rented a motorbike 50000 Rupiah per Day in Ubud.
How much time will you need there
It’s up to you how long you need there. You can make a hiking Tour about 3 Hours or you can walk through the rice terraces only one hour. Our recommendation is to plan an half Day for this Trip.
When to visit
The best time to go there is in the morning. We’ve been alone there at the beginning. It was very quiet and so there was a Great Atmosphere. In the afternoon there are a bit more tourists but no comparison with the Tegallalang rice terraces.
Where to stay
We stayed in Ubud. We stayed at Titiwangsa Homestay, it was perfect. Cheap, clean, Great breakfast and a really Friendly Family.
Why should Jatiluwih Rice Terrace be on my bucket list ?
Jatiluwih should be on your bucket list because it’s an awesome Place. They are much more beautiful than the rice terraces in Ubud. Also it’s very cheap and you don’t have to pay Money to Farmers (in Tegallalang you have to pay nearly every 100 metres).
